Studying at the University of Milan was very helpful for me. The quality of the teachers was good and the location of the building was in the centre of the city.
In my building, there were several courses and this gave me the possibility to interact with new students.
I would highly recommend my university to everyone who is interested in politics and economics.
The program is really well thought out. All the courses are the latest and the pace of studying is high. Students have an ecosystem to study and have a campus life. The employment rate of Unimi graduates is more than 96% so it is a good option for studying.View more
Being an International student of Unimi, I have been experiencing a great environment and overall a great culture. I am pursuing a course in Management of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, where the innovative approach of students is being encouraged throughout, under the guidance of well-qualified professors. The teachings are based more on gaining practical knowledge & getting an overview of real-life situations/challenges. As an international student, I would strongly recommend the University of Milan to all the ones who are planning their great futures abroad.View more
I am currently enrolled in the “Biotechnology for the Bioeconomy” Program and the program is very streamlined and diverse. It is designed to explore as well and at the end of the day, this program will lead one to a path that a student desires. The professors are very helpful.
The only downside is the accommodation and cost of living.
As an international student, I am doing my PhD in Computer science. And focus on ECG classification with AI. Our program coordination and lab facility is world-class. Department of Computer Science professors and teachers focus on theoretical and practical knowledge and they organize different types of seminars and conferences. I will suggest all international students apply to unimi CSE department for their master’s and PhD purposes.View more
As an international student of the University of Milan, the Faculty of economics and political science have management of innovation and entrepreneurship department. I say this department focuses on developing your career as an entrepreneur and how one student can build a new idea in the innovation management field so that one student will be the next leader in their area. And professor’s teaching method also focuses on the theoretical and practical aspects. And Management of Innovation and Entrepreneur department has three curricula digital, entrepreneur, and finance; however, one student can choose their curriculum where we can focus it. As a student in this department, I suggest other students apply to this program which will benefit them.View more
When I chose this program, I had the idea of wanting to be the change in the world, and I learned I can, just in a different way than I expected. I thought I would want a huge career, but now I make the most of my study experience in my everyday life. I believe my curriculum was quite unorganized and, if you’re a part-time working student like me, it makes it hard to graduate on time. However, it’s worth taking your time, do it on your own terms, because it really taught me so much about how the world works: we underestimate the power of knowing subjects like history and politics. I had the chance to meet professors that were part of UN commissions and had such deep knowledge of international laws. I would probably recommend taking part in as many school organizations and activities as possible to live the full experience at UniMi.View more
I chose this kind of course because I like it very much. But today I think that there are not a lot of career opportunities with this degree. Instead of this, the university course, in general, was very interesting and the professors were very good at teaching.View more
First, the University of Milan atmosphere is really great. There are many international students in the university and you can observe a multicultural environment in it. The university facilities like restaurants and libraries are nice and I am really happy about these things here. One point that I should mention is the competition for the dormitory accommodation service. It is really hard to become eligible for a room inside the dorm in the first year of studying as an international student.
Second, the city has a lot of nice things for students. A lot of entertaining places for holidays and weekends. Also, in Milan, you can access a lot of government facilities easily. A disadvantage about the city is high expenses in comparison with some other desirable cities for students in Italy such as Padua, Bologna, Turin, etc.
Third, the program and the courses are so attractive to me. Professors are kind and helpful and we are benefited from a high level of knowledge. The courses which you can select in this program are really useful for you if you want to continue your career in industry or academia as a PhD or a researcher.
Finally, becoming a data scientist is a sexist job in the 21st century and there will be a lot of attractive and high paid job positions for this field of study after graduation. Nowadays, data is playing an integral role everywhere in the world and you can apply your knowledge everywhere such as Economics, Marketing, Health Care, etc.View more
