While my Mechanical Engineering studies at the Mediterranean University of Heraklion gave me a solid foundation, I felt that some areas of the program could benefit from more up-to-date equipment and a stronger connection to real industry applications.

Students (both greek and international) have a great time with activities. ATHENA University includes the HMU, which is well networked and extroverted.
BUT, researchers are subject to the bureaucracy of HMU’s ELKE that controls their montly payments, thus they are not paid reliably and on time. ELKE is a great obstacle for research activities.
