As a Master’s student in Robotics and Autonomous Systems at the University of Lübeck, my experience has been very positive overall. The programme is well-structured and combines solid theoretical foundations with practical applications, especially in robotics, AI, and autonomous systems.

One of the biggest strengths is the research-oriented approach. Students are encouraged to participate in real projects, which helps build practical skills and problem-solving abilities. The professors are knowledgeable, approachable, and actively involved in research, making the learning experience engaging and up to date.

The university is relatively small, which creates a focused and supportive academic environment. However, this also means student life is quieter compared to larger cities. The international community is present but not very large.

In terms of career prospects, the university has good connections with industry and research institutions, which helps with internships and job opportunities, especially in technology and engineering fields.

On the downside, finding accommodation in Lübeck can be challenging, so it’s important to plan early. Also, if you are looking for a very vibrant social life, this may not be the ideal place.
