The University of Lubeck was established in 1964 focusing entirely on medicine and sciences with applications in medicine. According to CHE Hochschulranking, it was ranked #1 in medicine in all universities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and #2 in Computer Science and Molecular Life Science in 2009.
The university offers degree programs such as:

Today, the university has more than 4,000 students, 160 professors and 100 lecturers.
The University of Lubeck provide scholarship but not in full in the entire period of study. The scholarship for particular student or doctoral student are awarded from DAAD funds under STIBET I to foreign students of the university.
