Established in 1765, the Technische Universitat Bergakademie Freiberg or the Freiberg University of Mining and Technology is oldest university in mining and metallurgy in the world. It was founded by Prince Franz Xaver, the regent of Saxony. The TU Bergakademie Freiberg consist of six faculties:
• Mathematics and Informatics
• Chemistry
• Biology and Physics
• Geoscience
• Geoengineering and mining
• Mechanical Engineering
There is no tuition fee to all programs from bachelor to PhD. The students will only pay for the registration fee of 84 Euros per semester.

    It is great for starting student life. Students can save money and the city (Freiberg) is peaceful. The price of rent is low, and it’s convenient for students. Furthermore, the tuition fee is low, so students don’t have any concerns regarding costs.

    Overall University is good.

    The campus is good for international students. The teachers are friendly and professional. Hostel, grocery stores, hospitals and English speaking doctors are available. Provided Courses are valuable. While studying, part-time jobs are not available in Freiberg.
