With over 50 thousand students, RWTH Aachen University is one of the best and largest Universities in Germany. I am currently studying Master’s in Railway Systems Engineering since 2020 at this University. The university buildings are scattered in a small but beautiful place called Aachen. Every year, more than 5 thousand students come to this University from various parts of the world and hence finding accommodation in a student dorm is quite difficult. The university is located on the western border of Germany. Netherlands and Belgium are very close to Aachen. The university organizes good intercultural and sports activities. There are paid courses as well as free courses for Master’s and Bachelor’s programs depending on your interests. Finding a part-time job is quite hard in Aachen, and students prefer working outside Aachen. Cologne, which is one of the major cities in Germany, is close to Aachen. Students enrolled in RWTH Aachen, get a semester ticket, through which they can travel the entire NRW state for free. This includes Cologne, Bonn, Düsseldorf and Dortmund. With high-quality education and top-notch teaching faculty, I would recommend this university to everyone.
