This university is located in Halle which is a very small town. If you are coming from a big city, trust me, it is going to be boring for you. But the bright side is, you can always run into people you know.
My study program is business economics and I really love it. The professors are definitely great at their work, but the tutor might not be. Often the tutor jobs are given to master students who doesn’t really have sufficient knowledge.
There is a library for economic faculty which is tiny and cute. In my opinion, there could be more books in English available other than textbooks for student.
The program is designed in English and you are supposed to take mandatory and elective classes. Mandatory classes are offered in English except for game decision theory. For elective classes, you have the freedom to choose from both English and German lecture.
Other than regular classes, I don’t really see any other extracurriculars to help students understand the job market. If you want a job, better learn German. If you want to find a job speaking only English, sorry this is not possible in Halle.
Let’s talk about something fun, shall we? The cost of living in Halle is extremely low, with the same rent you pay for a room, you can easily afford 3 room in Halle 😀 Great way to save some money! Also there is a fixed amount of Erasmus students who are visiting each semester and eager to meet people, so you will never run out of friends!
