As a student of the humanities at Humboldt University, great challenges and the opportunity for unlimited learning awaited me from the first year of my studies. The topics offered in the study areas are always timely, critical and intersectional so that as a young student I have the opportunity to develop my critical thinking and to work out an understanding and position in the world.
The lecturers and professors, as well as my fellow students, offered a very high academic level in each course, which motivated and inspired me personally since the first semester and has given me a lot in retrospect. Another exciting aspect of the university is that the faculty buildings are located in the centre of Berlin, giving you the opportunity to move around freely and study in this beautiful city. The architectural stalk of the main building is breathtaking, and in general, the thought of the great minds who formed their thinking here is still beyond me. The history that can be associated with the institution should make students of the university proud. Also, the new library, the Grimm Center, is one of my favorite places to learn.
Furthermore, the food in the cafeteria is really delicious and cheap. There are many student groups and the possibility to be politically active and to connect with like-minded people. In my experience, there is nothing negative to say about Humboldt University and I would like everyone to study here.
