Globalisation strengthens the connection between companies from all over the world. It is time people understand the importance of international business.
International business degrees are shaped to give students practical knowledge about different business management practices from all over the world. In addition, candidates are prepared for business careers abroad or in organisations that are engaged in business on a global scale.
Moreover, international business is vital in order to understand different cultures and mindsets and ultimately become a global citizen.
A degree in International Business prepares you for a job in a culturally diverse business environment, which means that any graduate can benefit from opportunities in any country.
The advantage of an International Business course is that you are highly employable for most industries since the majority of skills acquired are transferable.
Candidates studying international business will also gain information and insight about the difficulties of starting and growing businesses from different countries, something which is of utmost importance for anyone who wants to make their business thrive.
International Business is usually a three-year commitment, depending on each university. Lately, there are institutions which offer the possibility of having a ‘sandwich course’, which basically enables the candidates to work abroad for one year in the industry, as part of their studies.
The purpose of the ‘sandwich course’ is to encourage students to step outside their comfort zone and work in a different culture and environment. In this way, they will understand other mentalities, as well as gain relevant working experience in the field.
I’ve found my academic adventure at Columbia University to be exciting as a sophomore. The City campus is vibrant, with demanding classes taught by knowledgeable instructors. A close-knit community and a multitude of extracurricular activities complement the academic programme. Because of HTWs focus on holistic development, students are certain to be well-equipped for their future pursuits. To put it briefly, it has been a life-changing experience that motivates me to challenge conventions and change things.
View moreI suggest getting a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
The projects provide a deep understanding of the corporate world, and the variety of topics is quite wide.
Opportunities for involvement with the university are also plentiful. A student tutoring opportunity, for example, arises from exceptional academic achievement in a subject.
After suffering through so many years of prep school, the PGE program is truly at the top, and the atmosphere at this level is ideal. We find that the curriculum is rather comprehensive without being unduly challenging.
This implies that in addition to working and having fun, we also have time to do personal tasks for those who have them.
It is at HTW berlin that winners are created. If one were to track the success of this school’s sports in contests, we consistently win. This university consistently wins the majority of its rugby matches; the team, consistently puts on outstanding performances. However, this school excels in academic rankings as well as athletics.
View moreThis university includes various remarkable traits, especially the willingness to quickly prepare students for employment and to adjust to their needs in order improve learning. That said, I’d fault the university for its poor communication of info and gloomy community life.
View moreI’ve been at HTW Dresden for a year now, and I’ve had an amazing time. The university is perfectly situated near excellent transit options, which allow for quicker commutes and round-the-clock access to public transportation. The cafeteria delivers proper and (debatably) great food at a fair price, and the facilities are clean and modern. It’s a fantastic first year all around.
View moreIn my view, when compared to other schools teaching internationally business HTW has successfully established a better and inclusive approach for students worldwide. The university’s procedures, faculty, and support staff are exceptional, providing exemplary guidance and enthusiasm. While students needs will occasionally lead to delayed responses, It’s understandable that there’s circumstances where complaints are unresolved.
View moreProject management teacher fails people and tells them straight into their face it’s because she doesn’t like them. The Law teacher had us do presentations and didn’t even do one single class in a year. Ethics teacher claims that women deserve to get sexually assaulted if their dress is an inch too short. The Economics teacher does not speak English even though the major is taught in it. Half the students are internationals without German coming to Berlin to study, yet most “International” subjects are talking only about Germany and giving presentations in German. There is nothing applied about this university, it is all old theory. Marketing classes did not even include advertising, social media, digital media or anything more relevant in the past decade. Same for other subjects.
The administration is disorganised. The international student office is always on holidays and never replies. The administration does not answer at all until you send your e-mails to their bosses. Due to the error OF THE ADMINISTRATION, they did not want to count my two semesters abroad until I fought them for seven months and emailed everyone at school when suddenly it was a matter of one document.
One thesis supervisor steals his students’ work for his own publications and has plenty of lawsuits. The other master’s supervisor did not answer any of the e-mails during the writing, except for one which said ‘I don’t know, google it”.
There is so much more I could say. This school is a disaster and if you are reading this review DO NOT GO HERE, they really don’t care about their students. Neither does the school administration, nor the teachers. If at least one person decides not to go there due to this review I already did a good deed. Try HWR, Free University, Humboldt, or anything else. It was a horrible experience that made me not want to continue educating myself for at least a few years until I can forget all those horrible moments and people (except some single people and students)
The Bachelor in International Business at HTW Berlin is very practice-oriented. The majority of the lecturers, with some exceptions, teach in high quality and have real experience from companies themselves. In addition, the cultural diversity for this specific course is high as well. In general, you can get a very good understanding of various aspects in the business field and obtain communicational as well as cultural diversity skills.
