Student review [#105212] for Communications and Media Studies
at University of New York in Prague - UNYP

I completed both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees at UNYP, specializing in Communications and Mass Media. From my very first semester, I knew that UNYP was the right place for me.

Firstly, the international environment, both in terms of students and professors, gave me a much deeper understanding of how different cultures work, collaborate, and learn. I made amazing friends and found strong mentors who had a lasting impact on me.

Secondly, I really appreciated the class sizes. There were usually around 20–30 people per course, which made it possible to receive individual attention from professors, ask questions freely, and get meaningful feedback.

Thirdly, there is the knowledge I gained. I know many people think that you will never apply what you learned at university in real life, but I think you need to look at it a bit more broadly. At UNYP, we learned how to gather, understand, and communicate information; how to work in teams; how to manage our time; and how to balance theory with practical skills.

Honestly, I remember many classes where I learned things that I still use today to impress my coworkers, from understanding how the world works to gaining academic knowledge that you simply cannot get without engaging deeply with university education.

Overall, I consider UNYP a very strong institution of higher education, and I can highly recommend it to anyone considering studying there.
