I’m studying at Master in Finance and Accounting. All courses that the University had to provide were identical to my expectation. I guess that the system of education is really convenient for instance the middle of the semester you have to write the midterm test that allows you to learn part of the course materials and get some points for the total score. If you are active in the class you will get some points. Most of the professors check your attendance. At the end of the semester, you have to write the final exam oral and written however I had only passed 2 oral exams. If you definitely want to get real practical examples until you will get a dream job, it will only depend on your responsibility, willingness and patience for learning something new.
View moreAt this university, you need to memorize tons of information – most of it you will never ever use + you will forget it right after the exam. Students are not encouraged to use their brains and to come up with their own solutions, but to just absorb the information the teacher gives them. I got As and Bs but haven’t learn almost anything.
View moreI am a local student of Bachelor degree in the Faculty of Economics which is one of the best in Europe according to several international rankings. The uni has given me a chance to experience a total mind change. Not only that a learnt so much from my field of study, I also had an opportunity to attend workshops, presentations and discussion with locally or even internationally known and super smart people (for free). I could visit job or study abroad fairs which helped me to connect more easily with specific institutions. I was also lucky enough to become a member of Erasmus Student Network (my local section is ESN VSE Prague) through which I not only learnt how to responsibly organize all kinds of events or present in front of people but I also made friends with foreign students who came here to study. That opened my mind about interculture mistatements. In general anyone studying here is just privilaged.
View moreStudying at VSE is tough as there is only one try per exam. Many team papers and presentations need to be done which supports the ability to work in a team. However, the amount of theory is way bigger than praxis and that makes the studies less interesting. The university has a very good reputation among employers, especially in the finance field.
View moreI am a student of the third year of Tourism and Regional Development. I honestly do not understand the system of this school. Tourism, of course, includes languages. However, our school system only allows two compulsory and third language only two semesters. The second thing is that we do not have that much in tourism either. Two subjects per semester and the rest are subjects of law, accounting and similar. I do not hate it, just the school did not give me what I expected. Better think twice than blindly go like me. Good luck!
