It’s a fun university. I’ve made my own company of people, and I feel great around them. Professors are respectful and insightful, we also have student societies and clubs here, many of which I take part in. Those contribute greatly to the overall experience of a student, as they are also hosted and guided by students. Plenty of events are kickstarted through clubs and the student union, you just need to know where to look. I dont have many complaints regarding courses, some are obviously difficult, others – not so much, just work hard and you’ll succeed.
View morePhysics graduate here, INSANELY difficult program, if you go into physics do be ready to go into burnouts almost every week. Things don’t make sense often in this major, but you gotta persevere, it’s just how it works here. Unfortunately physics isn’t that enjoyable, as it turns into a theoretical, nonsensical mess without much irl application, which sucks. I am a hands-on kind of person, and I feel like I would’ve been happier in med or engineering, but it’s alright. In the end of the day the program is worth it, you learn the depths of how the world works, even though you do so through pain and tears
View moreU of T is a BIG university, big means possibilities and variations. In uoft you can really meet different people, friends, and profs, you can always find some are good but some are bad (really depends on your effort and luck).
Overall, I would say it’s a good university. You maybe need some hard works (based on your program selection), but do not be feared. Welcome to U of T and Good Luck!
View moreI have had such a wonderful rigorous education that has taught me a lot. It may seem intense at times but I believe I have really grown here since I have started. There is of course always room for improvement but I trust that will happen with time.
