Despite the majority of my university career happening during the covid pandemic, my professors rose to the occasion and provided an exceptional and unique educational experience. However, the university institution fell short. My residence experience was horrendous and felt more like a $5000 prison than a university residence. The cafeteria was advertised as having exceptional food and being open 24/7 yet it closed at 9 pm and was often undercooked. The residence association kept students in their rooms and we were only allowed to socialize without roommates. Despite the pandemic conditions that may have called for this securitization of residence, one would expect a refund if this were the necessary course of events, yet no refund was seen. Thus we were all cheated out of upwards of $10,000 that we will never get back.

I also really like my program (Conflict studies and human rights) as it addresses so many aspects of society. It is also very open and leaves you the choice of a variety of future opportunities. It is also very broad and allowed me to pursue a minor in psychology which has always been a subject that struck my interest.

The faculty is competent and knowledgeable in their respective fields and are able to provide the students with constructive guidance on the subject. They are always open to questions and opinions and have the ability to maintain an atmosphere of respect in the class setting. Additionally, the administration is also approachable and is swift in sorting through inquiries and answering them quickly and concisely. As an international student, I have had various moments of doubt regarding various matters and they have been solved in no time.
