I am studying polisci at Guelph and I love it so far. The campus is beautiful with very nice study spots. Also, everyone here is so friendly it really does feel like a community. if you are first year definitely recommend living on res, it’s truly a once in a lifetime experience and you meet so many people. I’ve met some of my closest bestest friends here. Most profs are very nice and understanding. Also the food is TOP TIER. Ive been to lots of other universities and Guelph is still the best imo. Def recommend
View morePersonally, I really love the University of Guelph because of many reasons. One large one is the campus environment and resources that are available for students. Another is the student experience and general ambiance of the campus. One dislike I would mention is the trouble with over-enrollment of students this year because it is sometimes difficult to find a spot to study on campus.
View morePersonally, I love Guelph. I completed my Undergraduate degree in History and Classical Studies and have since stayed to pursue my Masters in European Studies. The professors are fantastic and genuinely care about student well-being and interactions. The reason that I went in to a Masters was because my one professor talked me into it and said he would be my advisor after I expressed my lack of knowing what I would be doing in the fall. I always recommend Guelph to people as one of the best schools because the campus is small and homey as well as the classes being geared towards student success.
View morePolitical science at UofG has been great! there is an amazing selection of courses and some great professors, especially Ian Spears. UofG has a beautiful campus with great food. The campus is a great size and big enough without making it scary and overwhelming. One concern I have is the poor choice of TAs for certain courses. In one of my political statistics courses, the TA did not know anything about statistics and was not able to help us and told students not to come to him with questions.
