I would recommend it. It promotes diversity, has friendly advisors, lovee throughout the community, however, one thing I don’t like is how some people treat the all gender bathrooms it is a great idea to accommodate the continuously growing number of genders but people that use em aren’t clean at all
View moreUniversity is overall good and doesn’t have much great flaws that personally affect me. Great and welcoming environment! Many opportunities to learn and explore new things. Many events that help students interact with each other!
View moreI live and grew up in the city so I extremely enjoy the convenience. The overall experience has been enjoyable thus far. I have made many friends and am interested in my degree still. Sometimes it is a lot to handle but I still enjoy the challenge
View moreAs an engineering student, I would highlight the high-quality facilities at the University of Calgary. There are high-technology devices in classes and labs for engineering students to develop their skills. However, some professors are not good at explaining the topics they teach and assuming that students understand most of the topics. Hence, the school could improve on reviewing the professors’ deliverable skills. The students’ life here is a combination of happiness and stress. The engineering program itself is already heavy, but there are school activities that help relieve the students’ stress. Compared to many universities in Canada, the University of Calgary has pretty good tuition for international students. The university also provided advising and notified job and research positions for students.
View moreThe University of Calgary is a state of the art educational institution with a caring and respectful Professor who also offers excellent hands-on learning experience helping me to excel in my own career.
View moreIn engineering at the University of Calgary, there is so much to be said about the faculty and the students. The faculty is very forthcoming, they always encourage active participation in the form of asking questions during the lectures and even emailing them upon a confusion. I have personally opted for the latter, a considerable number of times. The students are extremely helpful towards everyone, I came between the semester and I found peers who would help me in any coursework and in settling into university life.
Moreover, there is a multitude of clubs and events being organized by those clubs throughout the academic year. I cannot even count how many events I have been to, there have been a number of game nights, scavenger hunts, get-togethers, etc.
