The program I was in was health & physical education majoring in physical literacy. It’s a great program if you are interested in sports and a healthy lifestyle, the problem is that there are so many unrelated aspects that you have to take. Like general education courses which make it a 4-year degree when it could be a 3-year degree. Almost all the professors are easygoing and helpful but one professor for the first years is a very unpleasant one. A lot of helpful information to learn in this program, it opens the doors for careers in Gym teaching, coaching, and personal training. Health and physical education programs also have other majors like athletic therapy and outdoor tourism major and sports and recreation management major. However physical literacy and athletic therapy is the one that involves the most option to continue your education with a master’s degree in physiotherapy, sports med or even Med school. Would recommend it to students who love sports. Assignment loads aren’t as big as others, a lot of research papers though. Professors love to help and make the marking systems in your favour.
