I would support choosing this university for its practical, hands-on learning approach and exceptional engagement of its teachers. The dedication to continuous modernisation ensures that the programme remains relevant and responsive to a global world. The diploma might present challenges later on for foreign students as lack of English bridge programmes in Belgium and classification of technical education that might be refused in home country for a master programme. Overall I would still recommend it.

I studied Bachelor’s International Organisation Management. What I liked the most was the international environment. You meet people from all over the world, and the courses are quite globally focused with professional teachers with impressive experience. Most of the courses were quite interesting. And the school installations are quite new. However, sometimes I wasn’t satisfied with the quality of the courses or assignments. I felt some teachers (NOT ALL) weren’t teaching their courses in an innovative or interesting way. But maybe that is because my program was quite new and some of the courses were still in development, meaning that I might have felt it was a bit messy, confusing, and chaotic. Hopefully this has improved and will keep improving. Overall, I had a nice experience studying there and met my best friends who made my experience even better!

My studies of IOM at Artevelde UAUS provided me with a great background on hard skills, as well as the opportunity to really improve my soft skills, which have proven just as, if not more, valuable in my work life working as a consultant at a Big 4 company.

Good communication, good teachers, sometimes the differences in level are hard with different persons in a group. Our last prohect was very insightfull as was the intershio we had to do. I lach the practice of in groupdiscussions and presentations

I really liked my program because of the international approach. We had opportunities to go study abroad and do our internship abroad.
The courses were really interesting, offering lots of variety (from photoshop, marketing to sustainability)
The curriculum is up to date, following new trends in labour market (like AI)
The only negative experience would be language. My course was conducted in English but communication at the campus (or in our study platform) was not always 100% friendly

I like the variety of the courses as in how diverse the topics are still within the same area in a way. Some courses feel completely meaningless but I loved others and the social view of them. I don’t like that classes are pre made and every teacher just repeats them because then you see with some that they don’t really know what they’re saying (since it was not them creating the lesson)

I think coming to Arteveldehogeschool was one of the best decisions as an international student, there is a great support, proper and forward thinking classes, dedicated teachers and good environment over all both in the university and in the city.

I study this English bachelor programme at Artevelde UAS, my experience in overall has been great so far I mean I am in my third bachelor year and over the years we got the chance to explore the international environment through several projects and opportunities. Projects on school such as the international days, seminars … but also opportunities such as going on an international study trip in the second year, the choice between a study abroad or internship abroad in your third year, or even a combination of both. The curriculum is also very focused on the international context rather than Belgium which is a plus point and the teachers are great in support. The relationships are quite informal, we are sometimes like friends with our teachers.

My honest opinion whilst attending AUAS, I had a blast going to classes, managing extracurricular activities & life in Ghent in general. We’ve had amazing coaches, professors and staff that helped us thoroughly!
