What stands out to me about Ghent University is its wide range of extracurricular and research-based activities, particularly panels and conferences to which students are invited. I also appreciate how the professors in my programme are first and foremost researchers, which means that they bring insightful content and practical examples to the lectures based on their own research. In terms of campus life, I find it very pleasing as all campuses are close to each other and in the city center. The one aspect I dislike about the university is its lack of international students, as most programmes are in Dutch and most students are Flemmish.
