Although every university has their drawbacks and points of improvement, I think Hotelschool The Hague is an excellent choice for anyone interested in hospitality management, business administration, or just to develop themselves on a personal level.

It’s a very diverse community and English is actually genuinely spoken between most students. There are many events organised to celebrate people’s backgrounds, cultures and customs, such that everyone can learn and grow from each other.

The content is in line with the requirements of a university of applied sciences, although it seems to be more in-depth and challenging than other hospitality management schools in the Netherlands. This meant that the content itself did not present a very intense challenge for me personally, but the way in which the projects are structured kept me on my toes throughout the four years. i.e., every block there is a group project and an individual subject (sometimes two), this means that you have to manage your time extremely well and ensure everything is arranged before the deadlines. Especially in terms of the group projects, you will be pushed to the edge of your abilities in making things work and finding the common ground. This teaches you such invaluable life lessons on how to approach social challenges in the workplace.

On top of that, the course includes a very wide variety of subjects, encouraging you to become a well rounded professional. This explains why many industries are interested in hiring graduates from Hotelschool The Hague.

Lastly, you finish the course with an individual thesis alongside a managerial internship. If there is any challenge that will prepare you very well for a professional career, it’s this one. At the end of the day, I could have chosen business administration at an academic university level, or done something else entirely, but I’m genuinely grateful for the amazing growth I was able to experience at Hotelschool The Hague and I would not trade it for another course.

The HMSM not only offers an amazing education during the four years, but it also provides you with the support if you are looking for even more. In the second year (after getting your propedeuse), you are able to apply to the prestigious extra-curriculum HMSM Masterclass Program. Once the program is completed, you are allowed to participate in international hospitality competitions representing the HMSM. This is an amazing experience, as the masterclass provides you with all the knowledge and ensure you are a so-called “star” student, and then you can apply that knowledge during the competitions. Teachers and staff members ensure that all students can have an extra challenge during their studies, which is something that makes this school unique!

I graduated from the IMI University in Luzern, Switzerland with a post-grad degree in hotel and event management and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The management program at this university is above and beyond everything I could imagine and provided me with a solid foundation in the principles and practices of management.
The professors were knowledgeable and approachable, and they always made themselves available for extra help or guidance. They brought real-world examples and case studies into the classroom, which helped me to understand the material better and apply it in the future. The university also had a great campus life and provided a lot of extracurricular activities, which helped me to develop my leadership and teamwork skills.

University that offers great education in tourism and F&B. Its possible to specialize in tourism, hotel or digitalization. I chose digitalization to gain experience in communications, marketing and webdesign.

CETT University was a great place to go for an Erasmus. I met a lot of different students from different nationalities here. I enjoyed my semester as I enjoyed living in Barcelona for 5-6 months. It was a great experience. The campus was huge. I like the cafeteria. It gets really cold in the classroom during winter and some professors don’t like to open the heater. Some professors were a bit arrogant, some were nice. I had a lot of fun, especially with the course that I had because visiting the museums in Barcelona was part of my course for some subjects. If I could go back in time, I would still choose CETT University to be my option to go for a semester abroad.

Overall, EHL is a great school. The teachers are helpful whenever you ask they give you time and adequate explanation. The school infrastructure is superb although it is normal as the price we pay is quite high. The student body is great because you feel very included as there are loads of social gatherings and committees. The only problem would be the school administration and some of the rules which sometimes seem quite unfair to students.

The school has great professors who are masters in their fields allowing the students to learn the best practices that will be useful later in their work careers. The program is very versatile taking students through the journey of Restaurants, Rooms Division, Finances, etc., the most important aspects of the hospitality industry. Overall, it feels like after you graduate from EHL, you will be ready to succeed in the hospitality industry right away.

I studied economics at Ca’ Foscari, and I can confidently say the program is very strong. During my studies, there were many extra events where we got to meet managers from well-known companies. There were also plenty of activities like sports clubs, student associations, and language courses, so I was never bored. The university is also great at international communication, with exchange programs like Erasmus, Overseas, and Double Degree options. After graduating, I feel that I have learned a lot and enjoyed being part of a diverse international community, using the best privileges of European education system.

University of Surrey is a campus university with a good balance of community, academics and social life. It is extremely well known for my course – International Hospitality and Tourism Management – ranking top in the UK. The professors here are invested in their subject area and would go above and beyond to help students succeed. The network you will meet here is incredible – course mates from all around the world, field work visits to companies and networking sessions with industry companies. I have enjoyed my couple of years in the university and in my course, which I really recommend to people. I am certainly looking forward to continuing my studies here!

Beautiful campus in a great location. The people are typically pleasant, and the area is not overcrowded. Guildford has a secure atmosphere. They’ve added more rest and social spaces, which has helped to lessen crowding in the library. Lecture halls can be hot and humid at times. Outside of academia, there are few things to do, and the town could use some growth. Teachers are highly involved, and there are plenty of people to help. The staff are also friendly.

I chose this programme and the university only because it was near the coast and having lived my life by the beach, it felt comfortable. Having graduated, I believe it was my best decision. The faculty was diverse and knowledgeable. It wasn’t like a typical classroom, there were discussions and a broader presentation of the topics with relevant examples. We had the freedom to challenge the professors and that felt amazing. The accommodation was decent, and what made it better was finding friends who became family. Honestly, the best memories of my life were made at Bournemouth University.

Bournemouth University is one of the best options. I like this university because it is close to sandy beaches and I can spend time hanging out with friends to enjoy a relaxing time. Of course, I have had a good time enjoy the airshow nearby the beach as well. As a student, we won’t miss night clubs. In Bournemouth, there are so many night clubs and bars. I can simply go there to enjoy live music and enjoy talking to people.

If you are interested in courses in computer animation, visual effects media production etc, Bournemouth University owns one of the best animation schools in the UK. you cannot miss it. If you would like to study in Tourism, Bournemouth is a good option as well. There are so many hotels in Bournemouth, which can be a good place for you to find a placement during or after completing your degrees.

I’ve found this academic experience very good! I’ve chosen an economic-based master to have more knowledge and competencies in my future work, and I think I took the right decision.
