What is it really like to study at Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia – UCAM?

Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia – UCAM
UCAM is the second-biggest private university in Spain. It offers official undergraduate and postgraduate courses which are attractive because of the small class size and the personalized tutoring available. In addition to this, professors apply a very practical approach to students.
Besides the outstanding academics, UCAM has top installations and facilities, as well as state-of-the-art equipment for students. Furthermore, the university keeps close relations to business and professional sectors, hence facilitating labour insertion.
UCAM programmes’ tuition fees are very competitive and this is also combined with low-cost living locations. It consists of two campuses one in Murcia and the other one in Cartagena. It also offers courses in Madrid.

What course Have you studied?
I got a Master’s degree in Law in 2016. I will get a Master’s degree in European Studies and Human Rights in September. I’ve also studied Journalism.
What tips would you give to the future students at UCAM?
I really enjoyed the international environment of my class, so I’d suggest going to a programme taught in English. Never leave duties undone, better to submit assignments in due time. Try to know as much as possible professors and classmates, their personal experience and background can be even more insightful than a class itself.
Why did you choose this university for your studies?
I chose it because I wanted to improve my Spanish. Furthermore, UCAM was one of the very few universities providing a Master in EU Studies. Last but not least, a former student recommended UCAM and its programmes.
How was your study experience in UCAM?
The experience was very fulfilling and enriching both from an academic and a human point of view
What is the professional path you have followed after studying?
I am still in the process of completing my studies at UCAM but I can say the university trained me not only in the academic field but also in the professional one, so far, helping me to develop significant skills.

Put aside your fears and take the leap: it’s gonna be worth it!

Bachelor degree in Law, 2014 and Postgraduate diploma in Public Law, 2015.
What tips would you give to the future students at UCAM?
UCAM is welcoming with qualified professors and a good system of teaching. campus facilities like library, wifi, cantine, online classes in case of difficulties give you an amazing experience. The international image of UCAM is incredible you learn much out of the classroom. It is astonishing.
Why did you choose this university for your studies?
Good reputation and well-known, suitable location with good climate and city facilities. Also, affordable tuition fees and experienced professors.
How was your study experience in UCAM?
Great, amazing, unforgettable. New lifestyle, international life, new experiences, more knowledge. Just magical.
What is the professional path you have followed after studying?
I studied Law in Cameroon. At UCAM, I am studying European Union studies and Human Rights related to Law and has some contents on the EU functioning in relation to its policies in Africa and about immigration. This inspires me and completes my cv on an international aspect regarding my legal background. I am more open to employment after my journey at UCAM. (NGOs, public administration, international legal advisor..etc)

What tips would you give to the future students at UCAM?
You should get high level of the Spanish language before your studies, The Program in Spanish is most likely aimed to those who are planning to work in the Spanish Market.

How was your study experience in UCAM?
High-qualified professors with related work experience who are always ready and available to help you, invited tutors, good internship opportunities, friendly Spanish groupmates.
What is the professional path you have followed after studying?
I was offered an internship at the international marketing department of the university, then I was hired officially.

Work hard and always improve your skills, never be afraid to ask silly questions.

What tips would you give to the future students at UCAM?
UCAM offers you the possibility to shape the course in a personalized way. So the student can do the internship in the company he prefers and writes a final thesis on the topic of his choice. Furthermore, UCAM’s facilities allow him to enrich his experience during their stay in Murcia, for example by studying new languages in our language school, playing sports in the UCAM Sports Center, etc. So the advice is to make the most of all UCAM services.
Why did you choose this university for your studies?
1) It is difficult to find a Master that combines the European Union with Human Rights. UCAM offers this possibility!
2) When I chose UCAM I thought that coming to study English in Spain could allow me to practice two foreign languages at the same time.
3) Finally, I was struck by the level of internationalization of UCAM.
How was your study experience in UCAM?
Excellent! Both from an academic and human point of view.
What is the professional path you have followed after studying?
I wanted an international career in the area of international relations. UCAM has trained me in this regard.
Anything else you would like to wish students of UCAM on their way?
Those who come to Murcia fall in love with UCAM, so if you are afraid of falling in love, don’t take this step. On the contrary, if you want to live one of the most beautiful experiences of your life, then start to enrol in the UCAM’s course that’s right for you.
