Faculty of European Studies - Teachers quality (Ms Ciot)

As a student you have high expectations of the teachers - they should be role models and inspire you to learn, be active and have progress. There are some teachers that are the opposite: full of themselves, over-dressed and tona of make-up, looking from somewhere above to all the mortal people that are not like them. Ms Ciot is one of them and students see that she acts superior, she speaks superior and we don't need this. No matter if you are rich or poor, smart or not so smart - you cannot have this attitude - she needs to change or the management needs to take action. We think these people should not be allowed to teach to students - as the country does not need more Ms Ciot Gabriela for sure. Other than this - I feel I can learn - great university and great atmosphere - great covid policy enjoyed it even during hard times - thanks!

Review of Master Graduate

After 2 academic years at GUT, I can say with confidence that I have really enjoyed my time in here! Starting from classes/lectures and integration events to the location of the University, I have been satisfied mostly about everything. I could see that GUT had a very high reputation in terms of labor market for businesses, where representatives of companies and big corporations come to look for new candidates for their organizations by organising job fairs, lectures etc. For example, I had a chance to take part in such a lecture arranged by State Street Bank representatives and passed tests organised later on. As a result, several students and I were granted a summer internship, after which most of us including me continued working there. So, in terms of finding a job while still being a student GUT is highly recommended as most of the professors are flexible when it comes to attendance. Additionally, you can easily integrate by joining Erasmus ;) they always have something planned like party, meetings, games, trips etc. I have met many interesting people/brains/personalities/characters and made many friends. So, I have no regrets at all choosing GUT as a university for my Master's degree! I would make the same choice if I had to choose again ;)

School offers the opportunity to discover the industry

My time at Vatel Maurice was an extremely enriching experience. What struck me the most was the intense immersion in the hotel industry from the start of my studies. Thanks to the many opportunities offered by the school, I had the chance to explore different positions within various hotels and departments, both operational and administrative. This diversity of missions allowed me to develop an in-depth understanding of the entire hotel sector, which constitutes an undeniable advantage for my future career. What I really appreciated about Vatel was its ability to completely immerse us in the world of hospitality. Whether through practical internships, stimulating academic projects or inspiring conferences, the school fully exposes us to the reality of this exciting field. This immersive experience reinforced my passion for hospitality and strengthened my determination to excel in this dynamic sector. I am grateful to Vatel Maurice for providing me with such comprehensive and stimulating training, which truly shaped my professional vision and strengthened my passion for this fascinating field.

balance between academics and student life

Studying at Amity University Mauritius has been an enriching experience in the vibrant island setting of Mauritius. The campus offers a blend of modern facilities and a serene environment conducive to learning. Student life here is diverse and dynamic, with numerous clubs and activities fostering a sense of community among peers. However, the high cost of living on the island can be challenging for international students, affecting choices in accommodation and daily expenses. The university provides decent housing options both on and off-campus, though availability can be competitive. Amity University Mauritius strikes a balance between academic rigor and a culturally immersive student life, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a global education in a tropical paradise.
