I studied at UNYP and overall had a very positive experience. What I appreciated most was the international environment, smaller classes, and the chance to interact directly with professors instead of feeling like just another student in a huge lecture hall. The university has a practical, English-speaking atmosphere, and it is a good fit for students who want an American-style education in the center of Prague. I also liked that many classes encouraged discussion, presentations, and real examples rather than only theory. Of course, like at any university, some administrative processes can take time and the experience may depend on the program and professors you choose. But from a student perspective, UNYP gave me useful academic experience, international connections, and a lot of personal growth. I would recommend it to students who want a smaller, international university environment in Prague and are ready to be active in their studies.
I have spent one semester here thanks to the Erasmus exchange programme and I can honestly say that it was the greatest semester I have spent in the last 2 years as a student. The facilities are modern, friendly and can be easily used. The buildings of the university are placed in quiet and easily accessible places. The teachers are open-minded, kind, friendly, they do not behave in a superior manner. The university also pays attention to student life, they organize meetings and student afternoons. Not to forget all the opportunities Prague is giving you, starting with interesting events, conferences, workshops as well as entertainment.

The quality of various faculties could be varying but from what I have experienced it is very supportive and inspirational environment. The libraries offer an incredible amount of books and a cosy place to hide between the lectures. The lecturers are usually quite helpful and there is also plenty of student organisations which one can join in case he wants to do something more. The Uni also offers a help from its Career centre which helps students with basic skills required for finding a job. Since I am quite satisfied with my present studies here, I would certainly recommend it.
I can say I am completely different from before and after AAU. At some point I wondered but now without even noticing I can see my knowledge has improved a lot. I say seamless because it is not the traditional type of learning, you learn through hands on projects, in class discussions, real world scenarios, interactive sessions and becomes part of your day to day life and interests. I 100% Recommend AAU to anyone who wants to experience a life-long a real international community and learn in the process while having the time of your life in Europe!

Great sense of community, once you find the right people. The professors are wonderful, especially Dr. Hurtová and Dr. Tomášková. The entire university recently had a massive facelift, so the whole institution feels modern and welcoming.
