I have a positive overall opinion of the University of the People. What I liked most is its mission to make higher education accessible to students regardless of financial background or location. Studying alongside students from different countries provided a valuable global perspective.
One challenge is that the university follows a self-paced, online format, which may not suit students who prefer face-to-face instruction or constant direct supervision. Some courses also rely heavily on peer assessment, which requires patience and fairness.
Despite these challenges, I would definitely recommend UoPeople to motivated and self-driven learners who are looking for a flexible, affordable, and meaningful education. It is an excellent option for students who value accessibility and are willing to take responsibility for their own learning.
