My name is Mimie, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the University of the People. My experience has been very positive and encouraging, especially as an online student balancing studies with other life responsibilities.
One of the strongest aspects of the university is how well-structured the classes are. Each course follows a clear and consistent weekly format, which makes it easier to stay organized and understand expectations. The coursework is relevant, practical, and designed to build real-world business knowledge. Even when the workload feels heavy, the structure helps students plan ahead and manage their time effectively.
What truly stands out is the support available to students who are struggling. The University of the People offers academic support programs, including access to program advisors, learning resources, and clear guidance from instructors. Professors are approachable, professional, and willing to assist when students communicate challenges early. There is also flexibility and understanding when students face genuine difficulties, which makes a big difference for working students.
The peer learning system is another positive feature. Through discussion forums and peer assessments, students gain different perspectives and improve their critical thinking and writing skills. Being part of a global student community has also broadened my understanding of business from an international viewpoint.
Although there is no physical campus life, the flexibility, affordability, and strong student support systems make this university an excellent option for motivated learners. Overall, the University of the People provides an inclusive, supportive, and accessible learning environment, and I would confidently recommend it to students seeking a flexible and quality education.
