My experience with the University of the People has been truly meaningful. What I appreciate the most is the tuition-free model, which has made higher education accessible to me in a way traditional universities never could. It has allowed me to pursue my academic goals without the heavy financial burden that usually comes with a degree.
I also enjoy the flexibility of the online learning format. It fits perfectly with my schedule and responsibilities, and I’ve been able to learn at my own pace. Another thing I value is the global community — interacting with classmates from different countries has broadened my perspective and enriched my learning.
Of course, the university isn’t without challenges. The assessment fees, though much lower than traditional tuition, can still add up. And since everything is online, there isn’t the typical in-person campus experience. The workload can also feel demanding at times, especially when balancing school with daily life. But for me, these challenges are manageable and worth the opportunities the university provides.
Overall, I would definitely recommend the University of the People to others — especially anyone looking for an affordable, flexible, and globally connected way to earn a degree. It has been a valuable part of my academic journey, and I’m grateful for what I’ve been able to achieve through it.
