The University of the People has been exactly what I needed as someone working full-time in law enforcement with a family and a packed schedule. The program is structured, the expectations are clear, and the flexibility is what makes it possible to keep moving toward a degree without sacrificing my job or time with my kids.
What I like most is that there’s no nonsense — no pointless busywork, no hidden fees, and no pressure to be online at specific times. You get your weekly assignments, you stay disciplined, and you finish each course at your own pace. Peer-based learning has also been a plus because explaining concepts to other students forces you to truly understand the material.
What I dislike is mostly tied to being self-motivated. If you need constant guidance, reminders, or live interaction, you might struggle. But if you’re disciplined and want something affordable and legitimate, this program works.
I definitely recommend UoPeople to any working adult who needs a realistic path to a degree.
