I am currently a student at the University of the People, and overall my experience has been quite positive. UoPeople offers something many traditional institutions don’t: genuine accessibility. Being able to study online, at low cost, and on a flexible schedule has allowed me to balance work, family, and academics without feeling overwhelmed.

One of the strongest aspects of UoPeople is the international community. I’ve connected with classmates from several continents, each bringing different viewpoints and real-life experiences into discussions. This global environment has been one of the highlights of my studies.

Of course, UoPeople is not perfect. Some courses can feel unclear, and certain assignments could use better structure or instructions. There are moments when the feedback or expectations differ depending on the instructor. However, I have also noticed continuous improvements over my time here—updates to course content, better platform features, and new programs being introduced.

To me, UoPeople is a growing non-profit institution with a meaningful mission: making higher education accessible to people who might not have the chance otherwise. It is still developing, but the progress is visible, and the potential is huge.

If you are self-motivated, comfortable learning independently, and looking for an affordable path to a recognized degree, UoPeople can be a very good choice. It may not have the polish of older universities, but it delivers real value and opportunity.
