Studying at the University of the People (UoPeople) has been a rewarding experience overall. The tuition-free model made it possible for me to pursue a degree without financial stress, and I really enjoyed connecting with peers from around the world. It’s amazing to collaborate with students from different cultures and perspectives , it adds so much value to the learning experience.
The courses are challenging, especially the peer assessment system, which pushes you to think critically, but it can sometimes feel inconsistent. Being fully online means you need to be self-motivated and proactive in seeking support when needed.
What I liked most was the flexibility and global community. What I liked least was that the programs are limited in scope, so you have to make sure your field of interest is offered.
Would I recommend it? Yes , especially for students who need an affordable, flexible, and internationally recognized online education. Just be prepared to manage your own learning and time effectively.
