I believe that University of the People is a beacon of hope for everyone globally. This is because of its affordability and opportunities for securing scholarships if one cannot afford to pay the minimal assessment fees. To further strengthen its effectiveness, this institution is highly reputable, highlighted by WASC accreditation. One notable area of improvement would be increasing the number of programs available, as others may be demotivated by not getting their dream programs. Given its strengths, I strongly recommend it to others as it has a strong potential to make education accessible to everyone despite their financial or demographic situations.
My Experience with University of the People
As a student at University of the People, I was impressed by the online campus functionality and instructors. What particularly stood out to me was that, despite expecting online education to be filled with isolation, UoPeople surprised me. The platform allowed students to communicate through discussion forums, facilitating meaningful discussions with instructors. Moreover, I can easily learn from a global perspective as all students bring their unique points of view, skills, knowledge, and experiences shaped by their diverse educational backgrounds, environmental and cultural influences, and talents.
