Education has always been my top priority. I had attended a formal in person university for several years, however, I found it challenging to keep up with school while simultaneously being a full time worker. I also didn’t feel connected or supported at my previous university. When I learned about University of the People I was truly inspired by their goal to give everyone access to education. By reading their values and mission I automatically felt connected. Being able to have a flexible schedule while simultaneously juggling work and personal life has been life changing. Before I felt restricted to the schedules of my previous university class schedules and it was challenging to keep up with my work and personal life. Now, I have the power to live my life and also pursue an education. My transition from a formal University to now attending University of the People is the best decision I have made for myself. The staff and advisors are very helpful and supportive. I also feel as though I have learned much more valuable information and knowledge during my courses at University of the People compared to my previous University. The material in the courses is very interesting and I have learned information that I will continue to carry with me for the rest of my life. It has been an amazing experience thus far.
