I’m Mubashir Ali from Kharmang, a remote area in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, where traditional universities are not easily accessible. The University of the People has been a game-changer for me. As a Computer Science student, I’ve been able to access high-quality education completely online and tuition-free.

What stood out to me was the flexibility of the courses, allowing me to study around power outages and network issues. The professors and course materials are world-class, and the peer-to-peer interaction helps create a real sense of community, even though it’s fully online.

While sometimes internet challenges make participation hard, the platform is lightweight and runs well on low bandwidth.

I would definitely recommend UoPeople to anyone who is motivated to study but lacks the resources or geographical access to attend traditional universities. This institution is truly opening doors for underserved students around the world.
