As a Computer Science student at the University of the People, I’ve had a mostly positive experience. What stood out the most for me is the flexibility—being able to study at my own pace has helped me balance learning with other parts of my life. The professors and course instructors are helpful, and the peer discussion forums make the experience feel more connected, even though it’s online.
Some classes can be challenging if you’re not used to independent learning, but the structure encourages self-discipline and curiosity. I’ve also appreciated the chance to connect with students from all over the world. For anyone who’s motivated and looking for a tuition-free, accessible way to earn a degree, I’d definitely recommend this program.
