When I first heard of the University of the People, I was scrolling through lists of tuition-free universities in the world. I had lost hope of ever furthering my studies. I honestly admit that I never had faith in the institution since I had never heard anything about it in my country. When the institution paid my registration fees and then after completing my first term, my hopes brightened up. The quality of education is so top-notch and advanced that one can find it difficult to believe that it is freely provided. The program advisors are polite and punctual in giving feedback. Instructors are strict and more professional than even the ones in my country. I have recommended the university to a lot of people and I am proud to say that my brother joined the institution and is also enjoying the free quality education being offered. I like the communication system at the university, the student affairs department is top notch in providing guidelines to proper learning at the institution. I confess that I initially found the grading system too tough but currently I have adapted to it and find it even more better. The peer assessment program too is very creative and I like the fact that it engages us learners actively in the teaching program, carrying a greater proportion of the overall grades. The university of the People has indeed been a miracle to me and a lifesaver in my academic journey.
