My journey began when I came across a post about the IB organization offering scholarships to students eager to deepen their knowledge through inquiry-based education. But then came the big question: which university? University of the People? Hmm… I had never heard of it before. Curious, I decided to do some research. Back then, many of its accreditations were still pending, which made the decision challenging. However, I was drawn to its mission and philosophy, and I realized that what truly mattered wasn’t just a university’s name or global recognition, but the quality of education and the impact it creates. In today’s world, it’s not about prestige, it’s about accessibility, knowledge, and social impact. I took a leap of faith, applied for the scholarship, got selected, and was accepted into the program. Now, as I approach my final term, I can proudly say that UoPeople has grown tremendously, it is fully accredited and recognized in many of the traditionally celebrated academic hubs. And I believe this is just the beginning!
To all the dreamers making this vision a reality, keep going. The future of education is happening, and UoPeople is at the forefront.
