University of the People is one of the most exceptional online educational institutions in the world! I say this because the school is full of diverse professors, students, and support team members whose ambition and drive aren’t the only thing that they all have in common. Also, intelligence and professionalism are the ties that bind all this humanity up into one popular combination: a school that does more than simply “say” that it can train students to obtain a college undergraduate or graduate degree, a school that “works”!
As a graduate student in the MBA program, I enjoyed learning from experienced professors who helped me gain understanding of concepts in business science as well as their corresponding real-world applications. I connected to real businesses and learned from first-hand experience how organizations apply scientific principles to solve problems. The University offers a plethora of advantages to admitted students. There is no tuition charged, and multiple opportunities to apply for scholarships as well as other forms of financial assistance. The format is entirely online and allows students to participate based on the flexibility of their own personal or professional schedules. Course resources are free and available online, as is the online library and other academic resources such as J-Stor. Professors are easy to contact and reach out to in case you need help. Your peers are supportive and encouraging and provide super critical feedback in discussion forums. The greatest thing about this school is that even though it is based in Pasadena, California, the students and professors may be from any other country around the world!
If you have a burning desire to complete a college degree, I encourage you to contact the admissions office with any questions you might have. Completing an MBA at University of the People is one of the most challenging and rewarding things that I have ever accomplished. I had a blast!
