I completed my Bachelor’s in Computer Science through UoPeople while working full time as a freelance developer, finishing the entire degree in 2 years thanks to the self-paced, tuition-free format. Since it’s fully online with no physical campus, the classroom experience centers on peer graded discussions and coursework rather than in-person lectures, which took some adjusting to but ultimately pushed me to explain technical concepts clearly, a skill that carried straight into my actual development work.

The courses themselves were genuinely rigorous, covering real fundamentals like data structures, algorithms, databases, operating systems, and security, not just a formality. Instructor feedback was solid, though response times varied depending on the term. What stood out most was simply that I could build real client projects and a modern developer career at the same time as earning an accredited degree, something a traditional program’s rigid schedule wouldn’t have allowed. I graduated Cum Laude with a 3.67 GPA, and for anyone balancing a full-time job with a real degree, this was exactly the right fit.
