My journey with the University of the People has been nothing short of life-changing.
After completing high school more than 20 years ago, life took me through many unexpected challenges. For years, I struggled to pursue higher education because of financial limitations and other obstacles. In 2021, I was finally admitted to the University of the People—a dream that I had carried for decades.
The journey was far from easy. There were several terms I had to miss because I couldn’t afford the examination fees. Many times, I wondered if I would ever make it to graduation. Then everything changed when I was awarded a full scholarship. That opportunity gave me a second chance and renewed my determination to finish what I had started.
Despite every setback, I refused to give up. In 2025, I proudly graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0. Earning this degree after more than two decades was one of the greatest achievements of my life.
The University of the People gave me more than an education—it restored my confidence, expanded my knowledge, and proved that it’s never too late to pursue your dreams. The flexible online learning model and the dedication of instructors and fellow students made it possible for someone like me to succeed despite financial and personal challenges.
To anyone wondering whether they should take that first step, my advice is simple: do it. Your circumstances today do not define your future. If I could overcome years of setbacks and finally earn my degree, you can too.
