I’m currently studying Computer Science at the University of the People, and overall my experience has been positive. I chose UoPeople because traditional universities were financially out of reach for me. The scholarship support made it possible to continue my studies without putting pressure on my family.
The classes are fully online and mainly discussion-based, which means you really have to stay disciplined. It’s not “easy” just because it’s online, the workload is real. I’ve learned a lot from classmates from different countries, which makes discussions more interesting.
One area that could improve is administrative response time, as some processes can feel slow. Still, for motivated students who need affordability and flexibility, I would definitely recommend it.
