The University of San Francisco is a great university for specialized degrees. I attended undergrad here, as well as grad school, and the program really complimented my educational goals. I wanted to earn a teaching degree and begin my career as soon as I could, which I was able to do in a total of 5 years.
The school of Ed has wonderful professors, most of who are current SFUSD teachers actively in the classroom. The university sets you up in internships at public or private schools (based on preference) and I was able to get my full time teaching position out of the school I interned at. The course work is directly related to classroom teaching, and the final exams and tests were geared towards requirements for teaching credentials.
If attending USF for strictly undergrad, it did not have the most engaging or strenuous courses, however the professors always made themselves available for questions or assistance.
Overall, the specialized schools (school of ED) was highly motivating for me, but my undergrad course work was not as compelling.
