The university is fantastic, it’s so inclusive, and diverse, has a terrific staff, and has awesome teachers. The classrooms are always so welcoming and very lovely to be in. I think my favorite part about SF is the teachers by far
View moreSan Francisco State University is a diverse college with many unique departments and concentrations. My specific concentration was Youth Work and Out of School Time in the Child and Adolescent Development department. In this department, you are exposed to all concentrations to give the student a well-rounded set of classes. San Francisco State University provided me with a real college experience in a very action-based city. There was on-campus life even though most students were commuters. I loved my school and I am proud to have graduated from there!
View moreIt’s a good university with great teachers. Excellence is the main priority here. Well maintained and up to date education courses.
Professors are understanding and helpful. Also have a halal place to eat inside for Muslim students.
SF State is a university with fantastic professors that want to see students succeed. The campus is small and easy to get around and the student services, library, and gym are top-notch. On the downside, it is a commuter school, and it does not offer much in the way of community or student life. It is a school in which to get a degree and get out. For California residents, the tuition prices are highly affordable, but it is not worth going to SF State if you have no California residence. As a state school, the funding is low, and so the facilities and student life are impacted. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this school if you already live in the bay area and live with your parents, as you would save thousands a year by picking SF State over a private university or even a public one somewhere else in California. I would not recommend to non-California residents.
