UMass Lowell has been a necessary spark pushing me to evolve in ways I didn’t always anticipate but deeply needed. I’ve appreciated how the university fosters a spirit of practical ambition: professors who challenge you, peers who expand your thinking, and opportunities that demand you grow (fellowships, excursions, volunteering). The diversity on campus has been a quiet but constant reminder that learning is just as much about people as it is about theory.
What I’ve disliked is the occasional red tape, the kind that slows your roll just when you’re ready to move. Administrative processes can sometimes feel impersonal, and support services aren’t always as seamless as they should be.
Still, I’d recommend UMass Lowell to anyone who’s not looking for comfort but for clarity, a place that doesn’t promise perfection but gives you the friction needed to sharpen your direction. It’s not the final destination, but it’s been a vital turning point for me.

UMass Lowell offered me a flexible and convenient way to pursue my academic goals through their online programs. Despite the distance, I felt connected to the university community and received quality instruction from experienced faculty. The online platform was user-friendly, and the resources helped support my learning. While I missed the traditional campus experience, the online format allowed me to balance my studies with other commitments.

The University of Massachusetts Lowell is such a huge institution of higher learning with almost everything a student may need. The engineering program at UMASS was fantastic. I specialized in chemical engineering and we got exposed to a variety of experiences that enabled us acquire the necessary skills. The lecturers were very determined and very supportive. The little improvement that needs to be done is on the infrastructure otherwise the university is a great place to be and study in.
