UMUC is great for adults who want to go back to school, but also have commitments like a family and a job. While nothing is stopping you from taking classes like a madman, the student advisors will reach out and make sure you’re not overloading yourself or putting too much strain on your available time. When I went, my student advisor was in constant communication with me because of my goal. I had a specific plan that I wanted to achieve in a specific timeframe, and they made sure I wasn’t putting myself under too much stress or trying to do the impossible.
