This is a great school and the campus is not too big or small. Although the school could be more inclusive to some students of color, overall there is a great selection of major and minor programs, and on campus activities.
View moreI completed the Theatre Performance and Dance Studies Bachelor program at The University of Maryland. I was impressed by the range of subject matters offered, and the level of knowledge and experience brought by the professors. I was able to learn so much about the various facets of a theatre production in a short period of time; not to mention the level of acting coaching.
There is a good quality of life for the students, the campus is large and has new facilities that are accessible to all students. One gripe I have was that, I felt as though everyone only cliqued up with the people they had classes with. I felt like I missed out on intermingling with students from other parts of the school, because there wasn’t much incentive there for people to go outside their own field of study. With that being said, I have made friends in college that will last me a lifetime.
All in all, UMD is a great school, and it’s a large school with a lot of students, nightlife and activities. I would recommend it to anyone interested in going there.
View moreI can honestly say that my education at the University of Maryland impacted my life. I’ve been able to thoroughly investigate my computer science subject of study at the university because to its vibrant and demanding academic atmosphere. In addition to being authorities, professors are also mentors who sincerely care about their students’ achievement. From the state-of-the-art labs to the many extracurricular activities, such as research groups and hackathons, the facilities are outstanding. The campus is always bustling with activity, and Maryland’s friendly and diverse community made it easy to feel at home. My academic experience is further enhanced by the nearby environment, which is close to Washington, D.C., and provides access to a wide range of professional options. Academically, professionally, and personally, I’ve developed.
View moreUniversity of Maryland Global Campus was effective and had easy access to contacts for help or aid. Communication to all career counselors was efficient and easy to handle. The only complaint I have is the variety and expansion of courses and degrees. There are bachelor’s degrees that I want to obtain that University of Maryland does not have.
View moreI have had an excellent experience working towards my degree through the University of Maryland Global Campus. I transferred here from a small liberal arts university and lost over half of my credits when transferring, but was able to make them up in triple the time I would have if I went to an in-person university. There are also many success coaches readily available to call whenever you need them, which is hard to find otherwise!
