This university was undoubtedly my first choice of schools out of the my top picks. Not just the college is amazing but the city it resides in, just adds to the wonderful and limitless opportunities around. While being my first choice, sadly I was not theirs. I had got the heart-renching email that I had been waitlisted, only to get a “application declined” email shortly after. Nonetheless, I chose to work toward my goal of being apart of UCI by starting my education at one of the top transfer community colleges, Orange Coast College. I remain focused, hardworking, and growing my education to further educate myself at my dream school, University of Irvine. Until then, I will stay hopeful and from a distance, imagine Irvine.
