Overall it’s a decent route for you to get an introduction to business intelligence. If you want to become a BI analyst in Chicago, UIC is a great program to do this. Courses have flexible hours, but while you learn a wide array of programs, you don’t seem to master any of them. A lot of the times, you’re given the code and rarely go through process of writing yourself, which is okay for an analyst. What I’m saying is, don’t come expecting to become a data scientist out of this program. I think the program is trying to position itself to do that, but it’s not there yet, and doesn’t seem like it will be for a while.
But overall, an MSBA at University of Illinois at Chicago is an excellent opportunity to grow into a learned professional and bring new developments in the world.
