View moreThere’s pros and cons to anything, nothing is black and white. I’ve had my fair share of disappointments when it comes to fulfilling certain requirements but CUNY is affordable, close to home and inviting when it comes to extracurricular activities. The mentors that I’ve encountered have been nothing but helpful and accommodating and for that I would recommend anyone to go to a CUNY school.
View moreCUNY was an incredibly welcoming university that immerses their students in a way that makes them feel both cared for and empowered. Despite never physically going to my campus, I felt a sense of community with my professors and peers through online communities made for connection and academic advancements. As many of us have experienced, COVID proved difficult in the quest to continue our education, however CUNY never wavered and strived to provide quality, lasting improvements to the ways in which education is accessible to all, no matter what the world may throw at us. The university is an incredibly diverse campus which exposed myself and my peers to many different cultures and points of views we may not have had otherwise. Each professor I had throughout my 4 years brought innovating new research that inspired students to fulfill their dreams and sparked further curiosity. I am especially grateful for my professors who worked with me to further my education upon graduation by enthusiastically writing letters of recommendation for grad schools.
View moreThough my university is small, its’ main focus is the people and making resources and classes easier to pass for students. Additionally, there are many programs to help with the cost of tuition, books and supplies, metro cards and psychological wellbeing of the students and staff.
