It offers more than 200 programs at the undergraduate, graduate, specialist and doctoral levels. Situated in the small, beautiful city of Mount Pleasant, which has a population of just over 21,000 residents, it is a home away from home for over 20,000 students who study on-campus. The community of Mount Pleasant it is the perfect place for nature lovers, as it boasts the iconic Chippewa River, 1,000 acres of parkland and 18 nature reserves. A leader in virtual learning, CMU has been offering online courses for more than 20 years through its Global Campus which has an enrollment of 7,000 online students at over 60 locations worldwide. As someone who was working full-time while pursuing my studies, I appreciated the flexibility that CMU afforded me as a Global Campus student. This enabled me to complete my courses through a combination of face-to-face (offered on weekends) and online formats, which were offered in eight-week terms (rather than the traditional fourteen-week term). My experience was very positive. The courses were really interesting, and highly relevant to my field of study, and I thoroughly enjoyed learning from the professors and my fellow classmates. The staff were also friendly, helpful and supportive.
