Central Michigan University (reviews)

As I graduated in 1989, this is older information. I had a good experience with the Interpersonal and Public Communications at CMU in the mid-to-late-80’s (my minors were Marketing and Advertising). Classes were still somewhat small, and the professors, specifically Dr. Janet Yerby, took interest in their students. I was able to get a job right out of college, and have had a 37 year career in Marketing and Communications.

Overall, CMU is a solid choice for students seeking personalized attention in a mid-sized university setting, though it may not suit those looking for those seeking a more urban environment.

Its diverse academic programs, particularly in business, education, and health sciences, are well-regarded, and the university provides ample research opportunities and extracurricular activities.

I had a great experience at Central Michigan University for my undergraduate studies. While it is easy to feel like you are just a number at any university, Central Michigan makes an effort to connect you to people who can guide you through a major transition in your life. I would feel comfortable talking to any of my advisors or professors about questions and possible routes of study. I had such a great experience I decided to stay here for graduate school.

Overall, Caltech’s facilities are excellent and improve the learning environment. Students can truly thrive and reach their full potential there. State-of-the-art research facilities, well-stocked libraries, and top-notch recreational options combine to create an environment that supports intellectual and personal growth.
