What is a Psychology Degree?

Psychology is the favourite science for students who want to get into the depths of human feelings. This is considered to be the science of mind and behaviour. More specifically, psychology wants to explore the way people think, act, and feel, by appealing to the emotional side of people.

Passion can lead students to choose this specialisation. It is not considered a difficult one, but it is not very easy to approach, as the theoretical elements of the discipline are combined with the practical ones.

After studying Psychology, students choose to specialise in a particular sub-field. Depending on their preference, they can choose between Biological Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Comparative Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Personality Psychology and many others.

Benefits of a Psychology Degree

Psychology is a great opportunity to get to know each other better and to get to know others. Thus, students who are looking to understanding human behaviour, feelings and mind gain an inside vision of what these notions really mean and what determines people to make certain decisions and act under different circumstances.

The employment rate among Psychology graduates has grown in recent years. Salaries are satisfactory, and young people can focus either on psychological services in schools, hospitals, treatment centres, clinics, depending on the specialisation chosen. Furthermore, Psychology graduates can integrate a career in social media, marketing, and advertising, as they understand best the reasons why people choose to make decisions according to what they see in real life.

Psychology Degree Structure

In the four years of Bachelor studies, graduates acquire the necessary knowledge to practice Psychology, initially learning the underlying theoretical notions. These notions become an important starting point in their career, seeing later how practice blends very well with theory. It should be noted that on the labour market, students who hold a Bachelor’s degree are much more appreciated and have an advantage over those who follow simple courses.

A Master’s program usually lasts between 2 and 3 years, coming as a complement to the Bachelor’s courses. Master courses have a much more loaded curriculum and a great deal of information. A Doctoral program is dedicated to students who want to do research in Psychology in various institutes or to become teachers. This has a duration of between 5 and 7 years.

My time at temple University, where I met many friends, was some of the best of my life. There are enormous facilities to help the students live comfortably, the location is gorgeous with lovely buildings, and the teachers are approachable and fantastic when you have an academic problem. The campus is welcoming and friendly.

I took psychology as my major at Temple University and the training experience was amazing. The teachers had a great understanding on this area and were able to deliver very good lectures. The library is available and well stocked and it is possible to have quiet time to enjoy personal studies. Good dorms and friendly students

Temple University - A Great Place to Study

Temple is located in Philadelphia, a busy city. If it’s not on campus, there’s always something to do near campus! The campus itself exudes an urban vibe with its streets constantly crowded with students and tall academic buildings, which only suits the location. Many students play a sport outside the university or club. The team’s performance is generally good. While we’re not the best, they’re not terrible either. Basketball games are always crowded and people cheer loudly. Football matches are a little less busy because they are not very good. Also, gymnastics is not as big as basketball or football, student participation is a decent size. Practice areas for sports are a decent size. Some could be a little bigger. The coaches are great people and always help their athletes improve. In addition to being part of a varsity team, they have mandatory study hours that they must attend if they are to practice and compete.

    Temple University

I love the diversity at Temple University and it was one of the main reasons I decided to attend. There are police all over campus to keep us safe while doing so. Really, anyone can enter Temple. Anyone can be accepted and admitted to this university. It’s very diverse and welcoming, especially since it’s in a huge city with so many different types of people. It’s a place where you can meet so many amazing people and learn so much about different cultures. I am not exaggerating when I say these things. It’s such a good school for everyone, no matter who you are.

Temple University - My Experience So Far

Firstly, I have always wanted to go to Temple University as it is one of the recognized and well-known colleges for its level of education. My experience at Temple so far has been great. All my course teachers are well trained and very helpful, and they know what they are talking about because they love their jobs. The atmosphere is great, the people are friendly. Temple University strives for excellence and diversity in an urban environment. The lessons are easy, the city is 5 minutes away by metro and the connections you have are excellent.

    Temple University

The temple is an incredibly diverse institution with remarkable values. The school is something of an underdog and is putting a lot of effort into changing its image and being the best school it can be. I love Temple for everything it represents. I like being here because I can be myself and everyone can be who they really want to be. There is always something going on on campus and lots of people are involved in clubs and groups and connecting with people. Temple is about making connections that can help you with your future, which I really enjoy about school. I fell in love with the city because everything is close at hand unlike the suburbs and the possibilities are endless. I think choosing Temple was the best choice for me.

Temple University - A Great College

Temple is an excellent university, filled with experienced and dedicated faculty. This place feels like home with so many helpful people around. The campus is diverse and filled with things to do, people to meet, and clubs to join. Before coming to the Temple I had many doubts about safety, whether I would fit in, etc. But just one week and all those doubts are gone. I never felt unsafe on campus (even late at night) and there are so many different people with different backgrounds that it’s very easy to fit in. School spirit is huge here! We go in droves to soccer games and have a decent turnout for basketball too. We play football in the Eagles stadium and TU takes us to games. Our team has been phenomenal this year and this has increased attendance at all events. At this point, I honestly couldn’t imagine going to another school.

Temple University - A Fantastic Experience

Temple University gave me a fantastic experience. And I would definitely recommend Temple to anyone who wants to go to a great university with a unique and diverse culture. Since coming to Temple University, I have gained knowledge and understanding of the issues that are being overcome in the world that we talk about daily in our classes. I really like being a student there. I made a lot of friends and teachers that I really trust. I would definitely choose my school again. I love the location and the diversity of the student body. There’s so much to do, whether it’s after-school activities or walking around town.

    Temple College

When I was looking at colleges, I never thought I would like Temple because it’s in town and I didn’t feel so safe. The experience when I attended school was amazing. I felt so safe with security and emergency numbers on every corner. The most important thing I saw about temples was the fact that they always want to improve, with small huge new libraries. I see a whole new way of looking at libraries. What I can say I love Temple 100% is the fact that there was so much variety. No race has been excluded from the others and it is very difficult to find such boarding schools. Not only different faces everywhere, but also different foods that come from different cultures. Real empanadas also sold by different Spanish cultures. Amazing I would say (which is not that easy to say about all colleges). The tuition fees are also comparable to colleges that are not hard to get to, I think it’s excellent.

Temple University - A Great College Experience

I’ve only been here a few days and can only say that I’m impressed. Despite the Philadelphia area, Temple is an excellent school that offers a wealth of activities and opportunities for participating students. Being on campus makes me feel very safe, even for the Philadelphia location. All the program staff were very friendly and ready to help me with any questions. The classes and the people you will meet are amazing. Professors want you to succeed and really implement the opportunities so that students are truly prepared for their careers. I loved how the courses at my particular college (College of Public Health) were designed to allow us to engage with real life situations related to health and anatomy. We discussed the systemic barriers that communities face. We have learned to be culturally competent with our clients and patients and to understand how to listen effectively to a patient. Academics aside, the relationships and people I met were all unique to that particular season and shaped me greatly. Definitely a wonderful college experience!
