My experience with the University of the People has been genuinely transformative. As someone balancing a full-time job with academic responsibilities, the flexibility and tuition-free model have allowed me to pursue my degree without financial strain. The scholarship support came at a crucial time in my life, and I remain grateful for the opportunity to continue my education when it felt nearly impossible elsewhere.
The courses are rigorous, the instructors are supportive, and the learning community is inspiring. As a Student Ambassador, I proudly share my journey because I have seen how UoPeople opens doors for learners around the world. This university has given me hope, stability, and a path forward, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to advance their education with dignity and confidence.
View moreI enrolled at the University of the People while in a full-time job as a high school teacher in Kenya. I thought I would not have enough time to carry out assignments and it turned out to be true. The difference with this institution is that you can work on your tasks at your own time as long as you meet the strict deadlines. This flexibility allowed me to create my own schedule away from my work as a teacher. In just 15 months, I completed my M.Ed. and graduated. I recommend this university to anyone looking for higher education while engaged in a busy career.
View moreWhen I went and got my 2nd graduate degree, it was only $200 a quarter. I ended up paying only about $2400 for the entire degree. That was a GREAT deal. Even at $400 a quarter now, I still think you’re getting a pretty good deal, although a little more expensive. I think for the format, which is completely online, the amount of work and expectations were really good. The only thing is that there is no personal connection, which leaves one disconnected.
View moreStudying at the University of the People has been a turning point in my academic and professional life. As someone who has spent years in the field of education, both teaching and managing, I approached this program with high expectations, and it has lived up to them. The flexibility of the courses allows me to continue my full-time responsibilities while staying committed to rigorous academic growth. The content is meaningful, the peer interaction is diverse and thought-provoking, and the overall structure supports self-motivated learners.
What I appreciate most is how the program respects adult learners who have multiple roles to balance. It has helped me become more reflective as an educator and more structured in my thought process. Of course, there is room for improvement; instructor feedback could be timelier, and the forums could be more interactive, but the core mission of accessible, quality education is being fulfilled with integrity. This journey has been both humbling and empowering.
View moreMy experience at the University of the People, especially in the Master of Education (M.Ed) program, was truly exceptional.
From the very beginning, I felt supported by a high-quality academic structure and an inspiring global community of learners. The professors were not only highly qualified professionals with real-world expertise but also incredibly dedicated, approachable, and supportive throughout the program.
The learning platform is thoughtfully designed — intuitive, user-friendly, and very easy to navigate, even for those with a busy schedule or limited tech experience. Each course was well-organized, the materials were rich and current, and the assignments truly encouraged critical thinking, reflection, and practical application.
The flexibility of online learning gave me the chance to balance my studies with work and personal life, while still receiving a rigorous and respected education. Most importantly, the program emphasized equity, innovation, and leadership in education — values I carry with me in my professional journey.
I’m proud to be a graduate of UoPeople. It didn’t just give me a degree; it gave me the confidence, skills, and mindset to make a meaningful impact in the world of education. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable, flexible, and world-class learning experience.

View moreMy program at UoPeople is the M.Ed. in Advanced Teaching. In the program, I have been challenged to think differently about the world of education, and have met some wonderful colleagues from all over the world. As an educator, I find this program to be a great milestone for future educators.
View moreMy journey began when I came across a post about the IB organization offering scholarships to students eager to deepen their knowledge through inquiry-based education. But then came the big question: which university? University of the People? Hmm… I had never heard of it before. Curious, I decided to do some research. Back then, many of its accreditations were still pending, which made the decision challenging. However, I was drawn to its mission and philosophy, and I realized that what truly mattered wasn’t just a university’s name or global recognition, but the quality of education and the impact it creates. In today’s world, it’s not about prestige, it’s about accessibility, knowledge, and social impact. I took a leap of faith, applied for the scholarship, got selected, and was accepted into the program. Now, as I approach my final term, I can proudly say that UoPeople has grown tremendously, it is fully accredited and recognized in many of the traditionally celebrated academic hubs. And I believe this is just the beginning!
To all the dreamers making this vision a reality, keep going. The future of education is happening, and UoPeople is at the forefront.
